#F1 2020 review driver#F2 is back and the Driver Career mode now allows you to play a full F2 season before making your way to the big stage of F1. Even though it’s still a bit hit and miss. No remarkable changes other than My Team, apart from the fact that Codemasters has done its best to detoxify the online part of the game and make the online experience more stable overall. The game oozes Formula 1 and it’s absolutely lovely. #F1 2020 review tv#Car engines roar like never before and the introduction of Will Buxton as a TV journalist adds another layer to the already impressive visual F1 framework that the game provides. Via the integrated photo mode, you can make some pictures that might make people doubt if it’s a real-life photograph or just a game. What they do get right as always, is the look and visual aesthetics. Hopefully, they’ll get it right at the start next year. At the time of writing, they’ve already put out 7 significant patches, getting the game where it needs to be. Having your race engineer suggest an illegal pitting strategy doesn’t feel like QA did its job pretty well… Codemasters seems determined to righting these wrongs though. The driving part still has too many bugs for its own good though, which can be a rain on the parade from time to time. Codemasters also streamlined the ERS system, making it much more in line with how it works in the real driving sport. The cars feel almost identical as last year - it’s mostly the tracks that feel a bit wider, which was absolutely needed. My Team is a nice welcome off the track on track F1 2020 is a logical but albeit small improvement over what was already a stellar driving experience in F1 2019. Time to get the Tasta F1 Racing Team to win its first championship! (I’m lucky to get a top 10 finish to be honest in our second season) My Team adds a significant new feature to the game and has enough depth to keep you interested. It’s pretty neatly done and it integrates well within the confines of F1 2019’s already pretty deep R&D system to let your team progress from an engineering point of view over the course of 10 seasons. You’re both the owner and the driver of your own team and you can customise team colours, logo and of course the F1 car. My Team allows you, you guessed it, to create your own F1 team, being the 11th team on the grid.
